The Block of the Month Meeting will be an evening gathering held on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 6pm. During these meetings, you’ll be given a brief overview of the month’s block and any special instructions or tips. We love show and tell and it’s a great time to catch up and learn from fellow quilters. As we have done in the past and at our other locations each month will have a signature adult beverage such as the Piecers Piña Colada, of course as always, we will have water, coffee, and tea as well as a light snack. Our block of the month quilt programs begin in January and run for 6-12 months depending on the program you select. At the end of each program you will be able to spend your Barn Bucks (explanation below) and show off your new work of art. Attendance is not required but you will be missed, we look forward to seeing you there!
What Happens at The Barn stays at The Barn! Ok maybe not but we at least promise not to tell your husband how much you spent on fabric this month! So why attend the meetings?
The deadline for our 2018 program will be here sooner than you know, make sure to sign up by December 20th ! Via phone or in store! If you sign up on Small Business Saturday (November 25th) receive $10 Barn Bucks to spend on anything in our store or one of our sister stores!

Our block of the months are designed for beginners (Heartland Heritage) or they are skill building (Portage Lake). We encourage you to participate and ask lots of questions, we want everyone to feel included! If at any point you feel you need a little more instruction don’t hesitate to schedule a private lesson ($15/hour for program participants only) or drop in for open sew ($10 all day) if you’d just feel more comfortable having someone close by for a quick question. Our goal is always to make the community of sewist bigger. #beginnerswelcome!
